Zamboanga

Zamboanga is a collective term for the provinces of Zamboanga del Norte, Zamboanga del Sur, Zamboanga Sibugay and for Zamboanga City. They are located on the Zamboanga Pensinsula which is connected to the main part of Mindanao on the northwest.

Zamboanga is blessed with an impressive range of excellent tourist destinations – interesting mountain formations, picture-perfect waterfalls, caves in which dwell thousands of bats as well as stalactites, hot springs, white sand beaches, fish and sea snake sanctuaries, and excellent dive sites with an abundance of coral reefs.

Zamboanga can be reached by air through 3 airports in 3 different cities: Zamboanga City, Pagadian City in Zamboanga del Sur and Dipolog City in Zamboanga del Norte. Philippine Airlines, Air Philippines, and Cebu Pacific flies daily to Zamboanga City from Manila, while Asian Spirit flies to Pagadian City, and flights to Dipolog City are operated by Philippine Airlines and Cebu Pacific. Zamboanga is also accessible by air from Cebu via Cebu Pacific. Zamboanga is also accessible by sea transportation from Manila and by land from other provinces in Mindanao.
