The province of Cavite is located just 30 kilometers south of Manila. It lies on the southern shores of Manila Bay and includes most of the islands in the bay such as Corregidor.
Cavite has scenic vistas, natural resources and historic landmarks, examples of which are the beautiful beaches and world-class golf courses as well as the Aguinaldo Shrine which is the site of the declaration of Philippine Independence.
Cavite is also home to Tagaytay City, one of the country’s most popular tourist destinations specially during summer because of its cool climate due to its high altitude. The city lies on top of the Tagaytay Ridge, which, at 640 meters above sea level, is the highest point in Cavite. The ridge provides a spectacular view of Taal Lake & Volcano in Batangas. Coconut groves dot the ridges of Tagaytay and classy accommodations give the visiting tourists the pleasures of relaxation, and at the same time, wide opportunities to enjoy the magnificent view of Taal.
Cavite is very accessible from Manila with several buses and FX taxis going there on a daily basis. Tagaytay is just an hour and 15 minutes drive via the South Superhighway or through the Coastal Road. You may also try our Tagaytay Ridge Tour for a hassle-free visit to the city.
