Beautiful Bohol

Securely nestled at the heart of the Visayas, the island province of Bohol is the tenth largest in the country. On the northwest of this oval-shaped province is Cebu, on the northeast is Leyte, while on the south, across the Bohol Sea, is Mindanao.

Bohol is a tropical paradise. From its rich heritage to its splendid surroundings, it is an awesome destination showcasing picturesque islands and wonders of nature. The Chocolate Hills, numerous mounds of limestone formation, is the most popular attraction. The island of Panglao, located just southwest of Tagbilaran City, is home to some of the finest beaches in the country. The Philippine Tarsier, considered by some to be the smallest primate, is indigenous to the island. Other famous attractions in the province include the Loboc River where one can take a cruise while having lunch, Blood Compact Site, Baclayon Church, Hinagdanan Cave, and Bilar Man-made Forest.

From Manila, there are daily flights to Tagbilaran City, Bohol’s capital. Philippine Airlines and Cebu Pacific operates on this route with a one-hour & 10 minutes flying time. One can also travel by ship via WGA Superferry or Negros Navigation from Manila. Bohol is also accessible from Cebu and Dumaguete by fast ferry via Ocean Jet or Super Cat.
